What are the northern lights?
Laplands Majesty Awaits You
The Northern Lights, also known as the Aurora Borealis, are a natural light show that dances across the Arctic skies. This breathtaking phenomenon occurs when charged particles from the sun collide with gases in Earth’s atmosphere, creating glowing waves of color that shimmer across the night sky.
Most commonly seen in shades of green, but sometimes purple, pink, or even red, the Aurora is visible only in certain parts of the world, and Lapland is one of the very best places to witness it.
